Fantasy Weekend, Thanksgiving & Gorgeous Autumn

At the beginning of October, we had the chance to attend the Vivint Year End Party. It was quite a bit different than the last two parties we have been to in the past, but just as fun! We are always treated so nice by this company and we always go away feeling absolutely spoiled. We showed up on Friday and checked into our room at the Fantasyland Hotel in West Edmonton Mall.

Waiting in the room was a little gift bag for me, which consisted of lots of little things and a gift card to the mall! Vivint had rented out Galaxyland for the night so all the Vivint reps, techs and their families spent the night eating free food, playing games and going on rides. Being 7 months pregnant, made this part of the night kind of pointless for me, so naturally I spent the evening shopping haha. After closing time we met up to collect Garth's prizes that he won during the summer. I had walked around the mall so many times that night, I could barely make it back to the hotel without falling over.

The next day I spent all my gift card money at the mall while Garth attended leadership meetings all day. I bought the cutest leather jacket for Grant, some baby clothes, a hat, Victoria's Secret and some Lululemon pants that I had been eyeing for awhile. Like I said, spoiled!

It was so much fun getting to see and spend some time with my friend Kim and her kids that I hadn't seen since the summer!

I am so grateful for a husband who has a job (that he loves), that can support our family while he goes to school. We have been truly blessed to work for such an awesome company and the prizes, trips and gifts are all just gravy.

On October 11th, we got to attend Brandon and Alisha Wilson's wedding reception. It was a fall decorated theme, and they did such a cute job with it. I wish I took more pictures, but I was to busy eating all the delicious treats and taking selfies with this cute guy. We were excited to be a part of their special day!

Another highlight of the month was going to Milk River and spending the night with Tansley. I was so excited she chose to invite me to her Achievement Day Activity. It was a cute "zoo-themed" party with lots of "animal themed" treats and games. Every girl got to bring one person in their family and I was so honoured she choose to spend her evening with me. I feel like I got to know her so much more after just one night.

While we were at the party, Grant got to spend the evening with his Aunt Mandy, Kathryn, Kymberly, James and Ella. I can't wait until he gets the chance to spend more time with them because he loved it so much.

I finally had it with Grant's hair and decided it was time for another haircut. Garth did an amazing job while Grant did a good job making it really challenging...

I love my boys and their matching haircuts!

In our church once a child reaches the age of 18 months, they get to go to nursery! They sing songs, play games, eat snacks, color and have a mini lesson. Grant went his first time this month and so far he is loving it. Garth and I are loving the 2 hour break where we can actually enjoy our church meetings once again haha.

Thanksgiving naturally means family time. We went out to Chrystal and Eric's house in Barnwell and had a huge Mexican feast. The next day, I got to go shopping with Vicky, which of course included Baby LoLo snuggles.

What I am most thankful for right here.

This has got to be the best fall weather I have ever seen living in Alberta, so we took advantage of it and spent lots of time outside together.

Autumn in my new favorite season. Sorry Summer.

I have been enjoying my calling as the Primary Chorister and have been getting back into the swing of things as we prepare for our Primary Presentation in November.

Garth has been doing great with his last semester of school, teaching Sunday School and Institute Mission Prep. He also joined a flag football league which has been the highlight of his week.

And now for my ultimate highlight... Coming home to all my albums sitting on my doorstep. It was such a surreal feeling to open up the boxes and see all my albums inside. They look amazing and I can't wait to share them with everyone.
